"iSub now works again with 10.5.3!
Hi Mike, This is just a followup to an earlier message. The iSub usb now works in 10.5.3. It shows in the system profiler as Harmon Kardon iSub, and works great on my iMac G4 1GHz. There are many of us who kept our iSubs hoping for a fix. I hope this information gets around so they do not get tossed!

Sweet. To the basement to look for my iSub!

UPDATE!

It sounds better on my G5 iMac than it ever did on my G3.
Makes my day!
and it saves me from buying a new power supply for my JBL Creature speakers.

Awesome! I've had a duct-taped system in place ever since the upgrade.

Ok now I need to figure out how to get my little ball speakers to connect to my iMac. Apple used some type of funky connector that I've only ever seen on my G4 iMac.

Ah yes, Apple strikes again with a proprietary connector!

Griffin made an adapter at one time (the iFire, long out of production) that would let them connect via FireWire. http://www.atpm.com/10.02/ifire.shtml

You need a set from a G4 cube that connects via USB.

PM me if your interested in a set as I think I still have some lurking in the garage...

I have the iSub packed up for an upcoming move . . . guess I will unpack it sooner than I thought . . . this is good news, but WHY did Apple wait so long?

Unfortunately, I have a burning feeling that with the next update, it will be history again!!

I found that on my G5 iMac, if I disconnect the isub and then reconnect it, iTunes doesn't work. Once I restart the system, it's fine.
