I've started taking the doggy to Wendy's for a small cheeseburger ... no fries though

At least her Nutro (not Nutra) is still safe

I gave our lit' doggie an In-N-Out meat patty a few day ago and he loved every bite!

I have a friend who has been cooking meals for her dogs for years & used to think she was nuts but all of her dogs are healthy whereas 2 of her neighbors have lost dogs due to tainted pet food.

Truman and Emma have eaten this for years - just checked the bags and theirs is not in the recalled batch -

I bet Nutro is gonna put a hit out on the Nutra guys for soiling their good name...I can't believe that both of them can exist within the same category legally. Something is wrong with this picture. Not saying one or the other was first (I don't know who was), just that it's odd and diluting.

I just went into a mild panic, too. I opened a new bag week before last, although I bought it at a Fred Meyer store in Washington, not at Costco. Fortunately I remembered to save the Production Code, and it's not from the recalled batch either. Whew.

I find it interesting that the recalled batch was sold at Costco stores. I wonder if their orders are so big that they're done in separate production runs?

I guess I better get another bag long before this one gets low. It'll provide plenty of time for it to sit around, unused, in case more gets recalled. Sad

I have one in reserve - with a good number - I will be saving those codes from now on - I was lucky that the last bag that went into the feed hopper was still waiting to go to recycling.

Yes, I'm wising up, too. I'd dumped the food out of the bag and into the bin, but I'd cut out the entire back panel of the sack before tossing it, which included the Production Code. I'll be doing that from now on, I think. The other thing I did this time was set aside about a week's worth of food from the last bag and watched Louie very closely after he started eating the new stuff. Had he so much as sneezed, I would have shifted him back to the food I knew I was safe.

Sigh - have to run out and get Jet another bag of his *Nutro* food this evening. I just hate it every time I need to get fresh food for he or that cats though. Sad
