"Full Airport Express with embedded server-grade hard drive"

Airport EXPRESS?

This must be a typo.

I think it would be "Airport Extreme with embedded..."

Otherwise, the "Express" wouldn't exactly be a portable device anymore.

It's a live blog.
I know about live blogs but why no live streaming video? It makes no sense.
The last time I saw a live webcast of it there was something like 15 million viewers. Getting the connection was tough, and that was with Akimai. That was a few years ago. Let's say they'd have 30 million viewers now, with a 256k stream that's over 7000 Gibabit.

Does it make sense now?

[quote Silencio]I don't see how an AEBS with AirDisk would be functionally different than the TimeCapsule.
It shouldn't be, but you know how Apple can be with new products that replace old ones. I would be disappointed but not surprised if this functionality was not rolled out for earlier AEBS units.

"9:18 If you had "Apple ships a NAS" on bingo, you win. Backup wirelessly to one Time Capsule for all the Macs in your house."

M A V I C-------I KNOW you noticed this one. We've been talking about NASs all week. I totally did not see this one coming. Have to reconsider my NAS projects until I get a look at this thing, interesting idea, can't wait to explore it futher.

Seems to only come with one HD, so no redundancy.

Didn't Apple send a letter to some 9 year old telling her not to send them anymore ideas like the lyrics feature just introduced?

Given that Time Machine only considers one HD when backing up, I think Apple's idea of "redundancy" is a) the HD in your Mac and b) the one you backed up to. So there's your "redundancy."

Still no copy and paste for the iPhone. Blah blah blah. Hopefully the new firmware fixes that DNS glitch that forces me to reboot my iPhone every day if I want to be able to check my email...

More apps for iPod Touch: Mail, Weather, Notes, Maps, and Stocks. Getting more PDA-like all the time... Nice. But you have to pay $20 for them!?
