If you like Pentax and 10mp is enough on the K10D (It's enough for most sane people") then you can probably nab one at a great closeout price.
K20D 14.6mp on an ap-s c sized chip. I wonder what image compromises this will be cramming more and more pixels in there. Noise and diffraction will be interesting.

K200D 10mp and weather sealing, Pentax is trying to get serious.

Also some point and shoot that I am too lazy to post individually.

We shall see! There are some sample photos floating around that are allegedly from the K20D - the one at 3200 looks remarkably clean, more like what I'm used to seeing at 800 or so. It's a CMOS sensor instead of a CCD if that makes a difference.

They can throw all the noise reduction they want at it but they cannot fight diffraction. I already see it degrading my images on my 10mp aps-c size chip. Marketing has really gotten out of hand.

Is CMOS any better than CCD? Do any of the viewfinders match that of film cameras?

The more pictures you take of pretty girls, the less you notice diffraction.

Any rumors of new Nikons? I'm biding my time with my D40, waiting on a D80 replacement.

What type of price point are you anticipating on the Pentax K10D closeout?

CMOS has hardware on chip noise reducers and CCD use software in the camera noise reduction. That is why Canon pulled into the noise lead in the early days of the DSLR explosion. As for viewfinder, the full frame sensor camera have the bigger prisms such as the 5D Canon. The aps-c ones have to be magnified. That's why you have to pay more.

I don't think they have anything due this PMA. Their big year was last year and the D80 probably won't be replaced until October.

$510 after rebate

Seems like they need to do something to differentiate more clearly the distinctions between the D40 vs. the D40x. I'm hoping for a D80 replacement anyhow.

I have no basis for this opinion but I just don't see anything in SLR form from Nikon at PMA. If there is, it would be a minor update to the D80, maybe an X with live view and sensor cleaner. My guess is Photokina in October for that.
