Wow, thanks for the tip hal. You're right, it does seem I can get 'screwed'. I don't see my situation meeting any of those qualifications. Man, I hope if something happens, fleabay does the right thing.
Just left a neg with no fear of retaliation

eBay only works when both parties are honest. If that isn't the case; someone is going get screwed.
What amazes me is when people use terms like "excellent condition" and "like new." And then you receive your item scratched all to hell. Oh, I guess those terms apply to something that simply powers on. Fscking jerks! Honestly is a rare commodity.

I'm curious as to how many of you have actually had a serious problem with PayPal?

I'm curious as to how many of you have actually had a serious problem with PayPal? Me? Never. Used it as a buyer and seller for years for probably 700 auctions. Does exactly what I want it to do.

I had one guy challenge a paypal payment because he didn't use the email address connected to paypal. He connected them and said that he paid, but never heard anything from me. I replied with a tracking number - end of story...
that's the ONLY problem after about 1000 transactions how many banks or credit cards can do that?

Well the guy left me feedback. It was marked as "Positive". It simply said "by the book." Weird. He was pleasant enough after the initial blow up though. He had never heard about the whole 'Confirmed' thing before. In the end he even went through the mutual unpaid item dispute without a problem. I won't leave him any negative, sounds like this was just a learning experience for him.
I guess I would've been okay shipping to his unconfirmed address. But he was pushing so strong at first, I feared it might be a scam. After it was all said and done though, I think he just made an honest mistake. But of course, there's no way of knowing that ahead of time. BTW, he left me feedback after we had gone through the mutual unpaid item process. Wasn't sure if that could be done or not. Now I guess I know.

See that's what I mean, my feedback is well over 3000 and I've never really had a problem that simple phone call couldn't solve. I once even won a dispute with a buyer and he had an unconfirmed address, he admitted getting it but said it wouldn't work but I had a video of it working, ha!
