dealing with tailgaters... is this legal?
#1
You know the rule, 1001, 1002, 1003. Three second gap!

well, some drivers are like 10.. bum, they're already there. 1/2 second gap. Drives me crazy.

Now I take the foot of the gas and push the brake pedal gently, this activates the brake light but the car does not really brake. Since I take the foot of the gas, I do lose some speed. I'd like to install and push-button switch to activate the brake light by hand for 1-2 seconds without actually taking my foot off the gas. But I wonder if this is legal?

Today on the way home, on a 50 mph stretch of road, when I was doing almost 60, this guy was like 1 meter behind me. Drove me crazy. I though about stopping and getting out of the car in the middle of the road and see what he does. but then I though about accidents, and road rage, and tried to keep my calm until the road became a 4 lane road so he could pass. BTW: there was no incoming traffic, and it was dashed line, so he could have passed me if he wanted. probably he missed that class too.

Against the law in California, and New Mexico to mess with safety lights.
Brakes/Side Markers, stuff like that.
Road rage will get you killed, be careful.

Uh, got a left foot?

That's what the oil slick button on the end of turn signal fob is for. There's also the smoke screen, but that is too obvious.

yeah, I tried the left foot, but if feels so weird... that's for the clutch, not for the brakes!

Is that what the 'rear fog light' button on my 240 wagon is for?

(note - quite obviously not my 240 wagon)

That's when it's important to know if reporting such drivers via 911 is considered appropriate or not.

In WA, it is.

I prefer the button that releases the multipointed tacks.
