It sure seems like the island is some dead souls purgatory in which the regular notions of time and space do not apply. But I have given up trying to make sense it all.

I thought the most telling clue was that tonight we saw the doctor killed on the boat, when he washed up the island last week or the week before and after the sent the morse code that the doctor was dead..

All these "undead" people really make it confusing sometimes. The time shift thing is also really weird. So now they are going to "hide" the island. I guess they will hide it in a different time or something. At least it looks like we may find out how the Oceanic six get off the island and back to civilization. I also hope they tell us what happens with Desmond and Penny.

I agree; very confusing.

I listen to the Lost podcasts that are done by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the head writers and executive producers. They have said, in no uncertain terms, that once someone is dead, they are dead. (They have never said anything about the living being able to see the dead.) They have also said, in no uncertain terms, that the island is NOT purgatory.

I'm not sure I believe them! Smile

Of course, we do know if Claire is dead. Whereas, Jack's father is dead, or at least he was in Australia...

I'm just amazed that I can watch it here on the West Coast, commercial free, before it's even done showing back east.

Richard is a time traveller.
Milettos is an anagram for Lost Time.
Widmore is the head of the Dharma Initiative.
Rousseau told the Oceanic survivors that the smoke monster was a security system.
Not sure who Jacob is.
Locke said they had to move the island...not sure in what dimension it needs to move.

I think moving the island is in the dimension of "time".

This guy at http://www.timelooptheory.com has attempted to put the pieces together. Not that he is right, but has some pretty good theories.

Just looked at this site, it may not be right but it explains things better than anything else I have read.

I agree, that site is probably right on. I've been watching it the past several weeks after reading that site and it all makes more sense and they seem to be doing what the site predicted.
