So the new iPhone will have 3G and other new features but still be running the 1.1.x firmware? Or will Firmware 2.0 ship way early?

Would be really cool to see it ship early, but the way the pieces fit together doesn't quite add up.

There would be some kind of "Apple event" announced about a week prior. Hasn't happened.

16G supplies are getting really thin, and I'm betting the 8G is no mas.

Somebody's new phone (Sprint) has GPS and maybe 3G is noticeably bigger than the 'Phone. I wondering if there is a bigger battery.

I really *don't* want a bigger 'Phone, but I could live with a slightly thicker one.
