I keep it in a good quality freezer bag, something that will seal well. I suck the air out and put it in a cool closet. I also make sure the tip and cap are free of any glue.

my wife and I have determined that Gorilla Glue is useless. First of all, you have to be very careful about how much you use, because as it dries, it expands. A lot. And the few things we used it on, it didn't hold up at all.

Note that Goop smells incredibly (dangerously) bad, and continues to do so for weeks, so it's not for anything you keep inside. (based on my experience w/the clear "household" contact cement product of theirs I used once...)
