Does iCal have to be running to....
#1
send email alert to the address specified for the specific appt?

Or can it be a closed application (i see there is an ical alarm scheduler
in the start up items which may be the actual sender of alert)

obviously the computer must be up and running...
can it be asleep?

will see tomorrow... my first email alert to hit

I haven't had any problems with it sending alerts while iCal was shut down.
