Burning DVD with .vob file. How?
#1
Hi folks

I need some help. I just ripped som DVDs for my son (quick mention- I own the DVDs, I just want them to be region-free so that I can play them on our non-hackable DVD player); now, each DVD is wuite short, and contains some advertising stuff, which I wanted to delete. So I just extracted the main feature. Now I ended up with several VIDEO_TS folders. I want to put them all on one DVD. How can I do this? I just tried to burn only the vob files (the actual video bit ot the film) but it was not recognized. I also want to do this for free if possible. I think I understand how to do it using Quicktime Pro, but then I would have to pay money.

cheers

DVD2One allows you to combine dvd VIDEO_TS folders to create one dvd.

try sizzle (free), 0SEx (free), FFMPEGX (free).

you may end up buying Toast 7 ($$).

Thankyou very much- I have used ffmpegx in the past, but I thought it was now a pay-for program. However, I guess Sizzle may be the way to go. I would try DVD2one, but I am pretty sure I have to pay for it, which I just do not feel like doing!

Thanks also for the the ripdifferent link- that is EXACTLY what I am trying to do!

Cheers
