mccain gives a democrats' speech

i don't know about u but mccain sounded more like a populist democrat than a republican. the ideals he was suggesting: change, national service, throw the rascals out-could have been given by clinton or kennedy. the rascals he was talking about were the bush republicans who have occupied the oval office for the past 8 years.

i think he did the democrats a favor.

I was watching Shields and Brooks and it was noted that he basically quoted Truman, Kennedy, and Gore
(you'll have to find your own link)

He basically made an insurgents case for throwing the bums out which would have made sense in 2004
but not so much now.
