Parallels: convert from fat 32 to ntfs
#1
Im ready to go to a larger hd on my mbp. I have parallels sharing a bootcamp installation of xp pro formatted fat32 (dumb i know).

I've heard you can convert the volumn to ntfs without issue. Has anyone done this without losing data, killing apps, etc? What's the process?

I like to use that utility to bu my bootcamp volumn, but I know it only supports ntfs. any help would be appreciated so I could ccc my mac and then backup my bootcamp install and move them both to a new drive.

Why is FAT32 formatting dumb? I like being able to copy files to my XP partition while booted into OS X.

Here's a thread on backing up and enlarging the bootcamp partition:

Disk Utility has worked fine for me.
