Man, so many good tunes from him and the rest of the motown crews. I'm sorry to see them all going before their time.

I wouldn't necessarily say that 72 was before his time.

The Motown golden era was 40 years ago - almost half a century. The artists that made it all happen are getting old.
Even Little Stevie Wonder?
58 this year. Definitely not as old as the other Motown artists (also true of the Jackson 5), but he's no spring chicken either.
Even little Janet?
Janet wasn't part of the Motown golden era. Stop being an ass.
A golden ass?

I had tickets to see the Tops along with the Temptations on October 1st, but they cancelled the event. I don't believe Levi was supposed to perform. I think they're using one other other "passed on" Top's sons for lead duties.

I almost saw them on October 9th, but didn't go, because I knew they wouldn't be the real thing, or as I call them, "The Faux Tops".

Good God, I was hoping that 70 was the new 50! Seems like with all our advances in medicine we should have a longer life expectancy than 70ish!

Wait...I forgot. The health care system we have here in the U.S. sucks! Nevermind...

And musicians tend to not be the most health-conscious segment of the population. And tend to be good at dieing poor.
