I think these are a fair deal. A lower-end 2CD and 17" screen is plenty good in many ways. And isn't the 950 better video than the later 3100 in some respects?

Been that price for a year and a half ( I bought one last August for the same price)

Getting a little long in the tooth for the price/performance, but still a decent deal.

Si, no mas, it was a 17" with 512 of RAM if that makes you feel any better.

They disappear when out of stock. They'll be back. Check frequently. I think these are a great deal for mom and dad.

My mom still has a 15" iMac G4, and even though I don't think the price/performance on these $699 models is great, mom doesn't need a 20" screen and a better video card so bumping up to a $999 model would be $300 wasted.
