Rats! Catching a Cold! I Blame the Economy.
#1
After trimming down a bush in my yard yesterday I started feeling a little irritated in the nose. I hoped it was just an allergic reaction but no such luck. I'm trying Zicam tablets today and will be back in bed shortly. Hope this goes away! I wanted to work in my yard....

Damn economy!!

QUICK! Get thee to a sauna! In today's NYT's Science section p.D5, It says that there is evidence that sauna use might reduce or prevent cold symptoms. Quote: Some researchers suspect sauna heat reduces symptoms because ...the high temp help weaken cold and flu viruses.

but they also warn that saunas may be hazardous to those w/ heart and circulatory problems.

Best wishes and don't forget the chicken soup!

Indeed! I get down on my knees and blame Canada every night before I sleep! Sneaky Canucks.

No chicken soup; I'll have to make do with yummy green chile stew I guess!
