Clyburn: GOP's Opposition to Stimulus is Racist
#1
Here's some "end to old partisan divisions and race politics" as promised by Obama...(except when it is expedient)

"COLUMBIA, S.C. – The highest-ranking black congressman said Thursday that opposition to the federal stimulus package by southern GOP governors is "a slap in the face of African-Americans."

U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., said he was insulted when the governors of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and his home state, which have large black populations, said they might not accept some of the money from the $787 billion stimulus package.

Seeing how Nancy Pelosi's stimulus bill has NO money aimed at Chocolate "Katrina" City, maybe Congressman Clyburn should start talking to his own leadership, that is, if he has the guts.

I thought Bush had taken care of New Orleans. He said he would stand by them as long as it takes.

Get used to it. You push back anything in this administration and sooner or later you'll be called a racist. When Bill Clinton is called a racist what chance anybody else got?

I thought "race" was not supposed to be an issue but the current administration and his followers are determined to make it an issue. The "coward" remark from AG, Rev at inauguration and now Clyburn to name a few.

That "inherent racism" statement is actually a quote from Bob Parks. Bob is a African American blogger who runs Black & Right. Is it racism when a black man says it?

Is this a serious question?
