Now, I admit that I didn't read through that whole review, but that's how to write a review!

Not a great review.
Just a drooling über-fan.

Great, he's forwarding the 'reboot' phrase.
I love ST. But I could not read that whole thing right now.

I get a kick out of Harry's enthusiasm, but I quit taking his reviews seriously many years ago.
That said, it would have been exceptionally cool to be at that screening. Held it next door to my favorite bar in Austin, I believe...

That is pretty risque for the era.

Actually, that picture was taken next door in Will Collier's favorite bar.

ztirffritz,
Actually, it is a photoshop of a scene from the last season of Enterprise with Kirk dropped in.

I don't know about y'all but this 'reboot' is working on me. I am hyped about this movie. I grew up on Star Trek (TOS) reruns and Star Wars (1977) version. I am an admitted SF geek...I even will admit to watching Logans Run, the TV series...!!!
I am looking forward to a new groups spin on the TOS characters...I mean Shatner is an over-the-top kind of guy. The even make fun of his disjointed speech patterns in some the TV ads he does. Can't wait to see how the new one acts.. Karl Urban as Bones...sweet....real dark and brooding...supposed to have more backstory on why Bones is so jaded by life.... JEEEEEZ!! I will watch Sulu and think "where's the baggy and when are they changing course to White Castle?" Haahahaha... Oh...and Simon Pegg as Scotty....that's worth $10 for a ticket right there.... Seriously can't wait....My geekiness is making me twitch now that I am talking about it! Jay |
