Large Wayfarer Sunglasses

Still on my quest for large Wayfarer sunglasses. Bought a set off eBay and they are ... the smaller ones. Anyone happen to know the model number or designation for the set for a person with a LARGE HEAD?

The two numbers I see are 5022 and 5024. I believe 5024 is the larger. Wayfarer IIs are a different design.

I lost my old wayfarers and would like to buy a replacement. However, the new ones have a tacky "ray ban" logo on the lens. Is there a way to buy a pair without the logo or to remove it without damaging the lens?

I believe the logo is engraved (or cast) into the lens.

You could try a bit of paint on a cloth and wipe it over the logo.

I have a prescription pair that are over 15 years old - maybe closer to 20 (and I have a large head too)
Purchased them from my optometrist and they were ordered by size to fit properly

You might try your optometrist (local) or an online place and order them with replacement lenses, if the logo bugs you.

What is the model that has the same/similar shape but the bottom portion of the frame was metal? I've a pair of those "stored" in a box 'round here.

The RayBan site is a sorry excuse for such a major company.

Wayfarers do come in two sizes, check the numbers above, I think the 24's are the ones.

Maybe RayBan Clubmasters are the ones with 1/2 the frame metal. I have a pair I'm going to get re-lensed with my script. Clubmasters are very cool glassses!
