"Elevator-driven society poses health risk for Americans"
"Wheel-driven society poses health risk for Americans" "Airplane-driven society poses health risk for Americans" Yes indeedy, it's all those eeevil new fangled modern conveniences that are doin' us in. Nothing to do with skewed priorities regarding health and well being (On the personal, corporate and governmental levels. For example, Phys ed anyone?). Nothing do with a train wreck nutritional outlook (Heavily reinforced by an agriculture/processed food industry ravenous for profits and almost deaf to nutritional needs). Nope. It's the machines. :cursin:

Shrikhande said that as a student in Philadelphia she didn't own a car and walked a lot but in Atlanta car reliance was a small price to pay for a lifestyle whose benefits include better weather and living in a leafy suburb. I find it fascinating that she doesn't seem to see the irony in that statement at all. The car is not the problem here.
