Royal Pains is a direct rip off of dozens of failed pilots and one David Duchovny movie.

No reason for this one to succeed where others have been embarrassing failures.

Wow, it looks like they are recapping all the Burn Notice episodes before the new season opener next week. This is the first time I really wanted a Tivo. I missed something like four of the last five episodes of last season.

I thought I was all in, but I don't remember Michael going to prison.

I better scrutinize the last couple of episodes.

Hidden in case some people are gearing up for the new season watching the last episodes from last season.
[spoiler=Last scene of last season]
As far as I remember, the final scene of the finale was Michael in a helicopter with Carla's boss and Michael telling him to get stuffed after he offered Michael a job.

Michael tells him that he just wants his life back and them out of the picture. Carla's boss tell Michael they can step away, but along with that goes the protection they have been providing Michael from all the enemies he's made over his career. Michael tells him he'll take his chances and bails out of the helicopter, which is low and just off shore. Michael starting the swim to shore is the fade out scene, I think.

I guess the prison angle could have to do with Michael being framed for the bloodbath that resulted in Carla's death(?) and the death of some other red shirt heavies whose connections I don't remember at the moment. But that would have to be laid out in exposition or a flashback. It wasn't really posed as a threat to Michael in the finale if I'm remembering correctly.
