I've got a 800mhz ibook that my daughter had been using. before she got hold of it, it had been repaired several times by Apple. Now...its dead and I'm tired of dealing with it. She dropped it and damaged the charging part so it won't charge. The keyboard is missing many keys. I figured I could use the hard drive as a portable. What else can i salvage? I suppose I could sell the airport card Newer battery and charger. Thats about it right?

After mine croaked I got $75.- for the airport card, they seem to be fetching a good price. Sell it for parts on eBay, if there is anything left?

Airport cards are only worth $25 these days. Sell the battery, airport card, and charger. Might be able to get $50 or $60 out of that.

Yeah, I sold mine just after Apple stopped making the card and they were in demand and hard to find.

The airport card, battery, charger and RAM are super simple to get out.
The hard drive - that's a totally different story. And if it's only a 20 or 30GB drive, it may not even be worth your time.

Buy a project-frame from Target and make a digital picture frame out of it.
Leave the Airport card in it and turn on file sharing and you can update the images remotely.

I've re-inherited my daughter's original blueberry clamshell iBook (3 GB HD, 90 MB RAM). Still runs fine, but has no market value to speak of. I guess I'll just add it to my nascent Mac museum (2 SEs, 1 IIci, one IIfx, blue G3). Someday my kids will get to throw them out.

I got $20 for an iBook keyboard on LEM Swap list from a victim of iBook stinky keyboard syndrome.
