Alright.. while there is a lot more going on in the backend, a major cosmetic update was made live earlier today to the site nav interface. We believe it did address some feedback we'd been long receiving concerning the header and footer functionality. We still have a lot more going on within the site and a major enhancement to our search functionality in the works - but none the less, I consider it a pretty big change.
Can visit the site here:

This is a before and after screen shot with the same search results:

There is a lot more we are doing to continue to improve and enhance the experience on the OWC website... that said, any feedback on the old vs. the new would appreciated. Essentially - we believe this is another step in the right direction and your feedback is appreciated.

It would seem, from the poll, that the changes are seen as a big improvement.
I certainly felt that the new web page really popped!
Good work Larry and staff. (tu)
Do we get a special insiders discount for our "professional" input? If so, there's 8GB of ram for my MacPro that I'd like to order.

Looks like an improvement for sure. I only looked at it for a minute and I'm connected via a laggy 3G connection...
Are you guys looking to improve SEO too? The way many of the images are implemented is hurting your SEO. Take a look at how Apple's top nav is implemented to get an idea of a way to improve that.

The options of where to go next seem clearer in the old site design.

Subtle differences, but I like the new site.

The new site is better, but it still seems too busy to me.

much better in terms of "ilities", but I agree, it's a bit over-populated. Just please, god, don't got all "Tiger Direct" on us. THAT site hurts my eyes and brain.

Where's the choice for "I don't care as long as it loads quickly and I can find what I want."
But the new look has more "curb appeal" than the old plain-jane web 1.0 site. Nevertheless, I'm partial to simple sites that don't have a lot of formatting. So... 50%?

This is just a relatively small step in an on going plan of front and back end updates which should make it easier (and less busy) as full deployment occurs. Substantial enhancements to the search results display (who the results allow you to narrow) will be a big part of that too.
Definitely appreciate the feedback - change is never easy and this has been a long time coming... As close to it as we are here and despite feedback over the course from those not as close, still good to see an over all positive reception to this first of several not so subtle updates rolling down the line.
The other feedback is very appreciated as well on ongoing likes/dislikes and observations (SEO, etc). Thank you very kindly!
