Gotta claim from the insurance company from hail damage. Now I get to re-roof and paint part of the house. Which comes first:
Paint first in case paint spills on the new roof?
Roof first in case the roofers dirty the new paint job?

Roof always comes first, always!!! Paint don't mean a damn if you're soaking wet.

Roofers will be going up and down ladders, Depending on your roof, materials will need to be loaded on the roof. For sure the fascia will get skinned up. The side of your house may also suffer from some of the old roof being thrown and or dropped to the ground/or dumpster *(:>*

Roof first. Always done first on new builds. Paint after, painters cover the roof/windows when they paint.

Roof, no question about it. Painters can drop cloth the roof area they're working in.

Like many have said Roof first. Had to do the same thing several years ago and you can't believe the mess roofers make tearing off the old roof and putting on a new roof. When their finished AND before they leave check all your gutters, downspouts, windows, and screens for damage. Then do the painting!

Neither - do both, as I did recently. I had a painter work with me and the roofers such that the top story eve drips were painted on the ground ready for installation (we did not find a suitable colour for finished eve drip so wanted to match the facia). Also, the painter painted first (before old roof removal) any facia and soffit areas that would have required walking on to the new roof. This had the added benefit of not having to worry about drips and splashes. Those areas readily accessible without damaging the new roof were done last.
