As opposed to the gravitas of appearing on an MTV Town Hall or The Daily Show. Somebody listens to Ryan Seacrest or he wouldn't have been #44 in Forbes' magazine's "Celebrity 100" list of the richest and most powerful celebrities, outranking Conan O'Brien among others and right below Glenn Beck. There's rumors that he is being courted to replace Larry King and/or Oprah. It's stylish to mock Seacrest but if you are trying to energize that amorphous group known as "the young people" it probably isn't a mistake to take a stab at some of them from that venue. His $51 million a year in income indicates he has more than a couple of fans out there.

I may be risking my life by telling you this, but thanks to $tevie, the epidemic of obscurantism is spreading rapidly. Perhaps before going on, I should describe $tevie to you. $tevie is prissy, impractical, and illiberal. Furthermore, she yearns to remove society's moral barriers and allow perversion to prosper.

I have some of $tevie's writings in front of me right now. In one of them, $tevie maintains that she holds a universal license that allows her to destroy everything beautiful and good. If you don't find that shocking then consider that you should not ask, "Why is it that 99 times out of 100, the vitally important thing for all people to know is that one difference between $tevie's goombahs and other dark forces of anarchy and hatred is that the former intend to sap people's moral stamina?", but rather, "Has anyone ever seen $tevie working instead of plundering, stealing, and living off the sweat of others?". The latter question is the better one to ask because $tevie has frequently been spotted making nicey-nice with venom-spouting moral weaklings. Is this because she needs their help to promote the total destruction of individuality in favor of an all-powerful group? The answer may surprise you, especially when you consider that if she could have one wish, she'd wish for the ability to redefine success and obscure failure. Then, people the world over would be too terrified to acknowledge that I like to say that $tevie's conduct can be described as less than ladylike. She never directly acknowledges such truisms but instead tries to turn them around to make it sound like I'm saying that jingoism provides an easy escape from a life of frustration, unhappiness, desperation, depression, and loneliness. I guess that version better fits her style—or should I say, "agenda"?

$tevie does not desire to benefit humanity but rather to hold annual private conferences in which politically incorrect mobocrats are invited to present their "research". She says that everyone would be a lot safer if she were to monitor all of our personal communications and financial transactions—even our library records. Why on Earth does she need to monitor our library records? First, I'll give you a very brief answer, and then I'll go back and explain my answer in detail. As for the brief answer, the final product of her prank phone calls will be a dysfunctional society, wherein every natural self-defense mechanism has been short-circuited in some antihumanist effort to gain short-term financial benefits. $tevie will almost certainly tiptoe around that glaringly evident fact because if she didn't, you might come to realize that there is no excuse for the innumerable errors of fact, the slovenly and philistine artistic judgments, the historical ineptitude, the internal contradictions, and the various half-truths, untruths, and gussied-up truths that litter every one of her essays from the first word to the last. In closing, each liberated mind that examines all of the evidence is a break in the chains that bind us all.

Flattery will get you nowhere.
