Stickies
#1
Please, no more stickies that involve only a handful of people. It looks like you guys had a great time, but I'm a little tired of it always being there.

Could we start a third forum here called "Announcements" for these sticky things?

Here, here.

For those of us who view the forum with threads expanded (meaning that when you load a page of threads, you see all of the replies listed as links), when we load the main page, we have to scroll down and down and down and down and down to get to the first new non-sticky thread. It's a PITA.

....or they could just Post Updates and link it back to the original thread;

:MacResource NYC Lunch - Sunday, May 21

and when new info is posted call the thread:

:UPDATE: MacResource NYC Lunch - Sunday, May 21

and link it back to the original or just post it in the new thread,

People could just search (by date) for :MacResource NYC Lunch and see all the info they need.

I didn't really mind the Sticky, I just ignore them after a while.

That might work, but then again it could lead to:

Shopping & Deals
Mac Talk
PC Talk
Electronics & Other Toys
Friendly Talk
one forum archive
two forum archive

I came here to get away from that ::o

. . .something as minor as a sticky doesn't bother me. . .

There really are bigger things in this world to worry about. . .please do what you like. . .

can't they just change the code so that the stickies aren't expanded? It couldn't be that hard.

And the land of the never ending stickies is more than annoying
