If something happens to Steve, how about Woz as new CEO?

I'm not writing Steve's obit or anything like that just yet, but I was just wondering whether or not Woz would be in the running for Apple's new CEO?

I mean he's a cofounder, right? He could bring a fresh perspective into the company that Cook or Ive can't since they've been so entrenched with Steve's mantra for so many years.

Just a thought.

No flame from me, but the reasons why Woz isn't suitable are related to him not really being the "corporate type." Not a visionary, although I doubt none of the rest would be either.

Woz is an excellent engineer, not an innovator. The qualities that make an excellent engineer are somewhat antithetical to the qualities required to lead an innovative company like Apple. The reason Woz and The Leader worked so well together was that their different qualities complemented each other. Woz could never replace The Leader. There are tons of companies out there with great engineers running them. None of them can hold a candle to Apple.

woz isn't even executive material - the guy is doing exactly what he wants to be doing right now - essentially being a 60 year old kid and loving life.

My wife and I were just talking about it this yesterday and just don't see it happening. Maybe we can get Gil back, Not!

Honestly I hope Steve is ok but I fear that things are not well with him.
