Like we did in Iraq. Other countries are thus far decrying this as a stupid idea. Heard about via NPR Talk of the Nation on right now.
Yeah...let's get ANOTHER war on. Exactly what we need.
EDIT: Oh yeah, they are also talking about "taking out their air defenses."

Relax. Obama's wars are OK. People will show up here shortly telling us what a wonderful idea it is.

I think Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld & Perle gave us sufficient proof that picking a fight for regime change is a horrible idea.

The Iraq no-fly zone of the 1990s was pretty effective at minimal risk. It is not an invasion...well, not in the traditional sense.

See Acer's note.... Iraq's no fly zone was designed to keep Saddam from attacking the Kurds in the north and the Shiites in the south. And WHOSE No Fly Zone war was it ?
Yep. Bill Clinton's.
Did it work ? Reasonably.
And that would be the main goal of a No Fly zone in Libya- to keep Moamar from bombing and strafing his people. Not to mention making a few new 'aces' in the USN.
Deny air power and ground warfare becomes a weapons availability issue. Deny resupply and eventually he runs out of ammo. Deny money and the mercs that he hired for him will quit. Eventually he'll just have his immediate family. It's basic siege tactics. And it works.

The real action is on the ground. He does not need air power to shoot people in the streets or hang them. No-fly zone didn't remove Saddam.

He didn't need removal. He was contained. And pumping oil.
