isodine pill

“The people in California can rest easy. The amount of radiation that you’re getting now, or are liable to get in the near future from Japan, would be less than you would get in a TSA screening. It’s just not a hazard right now. I can’t see how that’s going to change in the immediate future,” According to Cham Dallas, a professor at the University of Georgia.

Should one pop the pill before getting a TSA screening?

*sigh*...

The TSA doesn't use radioactive iodine isotopes, so it wouldn't matter.

And right now, and for the forseeable future (until Iran caps off a nuke on the west coast), the amount of "radiation" from Fukushima on the west coast will be less than what you'd get from eating a banana.

Just be sure to ask the screener to take off his High School graduation ring.

If he has one...

Yes, you should. And also have a feeling of panic.

Surely you don't think they grow in the USA, do you? I realize up there you've never seen a 700ft
ship named "Chiquita" pulling into port - but they do, in GA, FL and the Gulf (Alabama).

Ever heard of "Banana Republics" (not the store) ?
