Not really liking the Mac App store
#1
I have one app that says has an update, but it won't. Went to update Aperture that I bought through the store- well, I'm on 3 day + remaining on the download. Only a 605 MB download.

Everything else on my network and internet seems fine, so doesn't appear to be a network slow down.

After reading your post, I just started the Aperture update. After about 3 minutes, it has only downloaded 2MB.

The problem is not on my end.

I have now been downloading for 35 min and only 30.2MB. Says I have 15+ hours to go.

Hopefully they work all these kinds of bugs out now before unleashing the free MobileMe and new datacenter.

I updated Evernote the other night from the App Store & it took what I considered to be a very long time for a 20 MB file to download. Last night updating to 10.6.7 took about 2 hours for the 313 MB file to download. iStatMenu showed that the file was coming in at 165KB/s.

It took me back to the good old days of dialup.

Interesting. Evernote being free and seemingly updated every few days it only takes seconds from the Evernote site.

Well, maybe my test was a short term bottleneck. Don't know when it finished, but it must have picked up the pace at some point.
