Is there any way to Simultaneously Duplicate a Layer to Multiple Docs in Photoshop?
#1
Okay, This is what I want to do: You know how a user can duplicate a layer from one document to another in Photoshop? Is there any way to do that to multiple documents simultaneously? I'm not sure a batch action would work because the physical action is so user dependent. I've checked Photoshop's help file and this it what it gave me:

---------------------
To duplicate a layer or group between images

Open the source and destination images.

In the Layers palette of the source image, select a layer or group.

Do one of the following:

+ Drag the layer or group from the Layers palette into the destination image.

Select the Move tool , and drag from the source image to the destination image. The duplicate layer or group appears above the active layer in the Layers palette of the destination image. Shift-drag to move the image content to the same location it occupied in the source image (if the source and destination images have the same pixel dimensions) or to the center of the document window (if the source and destination images have different pixel dimensions).

+ (Photoshop) Choose Duplicate Layer or Duplicate Group from the Layers menu or the Layers palette menu. Choose the destination document from the Document pop-up menu, and click OK.

+ Choose Select > All to select all the pixels on the layer, and choose Edit > Copy. Then choose Edit > Paste in the destination image.
---------------------

It doesn't say anything about multiple docs though. Has anyone ever done this before? I would like to know because I have to change title layers on about 50 different screens for each round of a 4-Round Flash game. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Only thing I can think of is to possibly put all your files that need to be edited into a folder, create a new PSD of the title layer that you want to add, then create an action to open it, select all, copy, open every file to be edited one by one in batch, paste into and save.

You would obviously have to tweek it to do what you need.

Thank you, I forgot to return. I'll give that a try later today.
