Trump has gone insane
#1
read it yourself - i can't decide what part to quote - the guy is trying to return us to 18th century style colonialism...

The real estate mogul and television producer continued his battle cry of taking oil from countries after we have defeated them in battle.

"In the old days, when you won the war, it was yours," Trump said, earning applause from the crowd. "When we win a war … we leave with nothing."

Regarding Asia, Trump said they should be honoring the United States with tributes as well.

"I'd say to South Korea, 'All those televisions you sell us, all the billions you make — we're going to protect you and make sure you're in good shape, but you're going to pay for it,'" he proclaimed. "You know something, they would do it in two minutes."

Are you terribly surprised that he would like to be Emperor of an American Empire? I mean, really?

Sounds more like the Mafia.

Familiar territory, many of his casino business partners were too.

Watch Barney Frank on Morning Joe a few days ago. He was saying the same things about NATO, Europe, Japan, S. Korea and why we are still paying for their defense. It is just that you have found a new whipping boy.

What do you mean "gone" insane? That would imply that he was sane to begin with. But then, sanity is a relative term, for an extraterrestrial. (Big Grin

In a more polite manner of speaking - hogwash.

Frank is not "saying the same things" as Trump. Either you're dissembling or you really are the village idiot everyone here makes you out to be (with a substantial degree of effort on your part, I might add).

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, though I'll probably regret it.

Frank is saying something that bears a degree of resemblance to what Trump is saying in that they both agree (in a very broad sense) that the U.S. shouldn't foot as much of the bill for international defense as we do.

Beyond that, however, they diverge to a state of diametric opposition.

Trump is hardly a "whipping boy" - when you live by the imbecilic soundbite, you should expect to receive your just reward in kind.

I saw him. You didn't. End of story. Next time do your homework before talking to me. Don't embarrass yourself.
