Political Kookbiscuit Reaction Rundown
#1
Sarah Palin has a lot of thoughts, none of them referring to the president:

Wasilla Grifter wrote:
"Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.

This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda's other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.

May God bless our troops and our intelligence services, and God bless America!"

Michele Bachmann didn't mention the "Sharia-compliant" president either:

Islamaphobe Soccermom wrote:
"Tonight's news does not bring back the lives of the thousands of innocent people who were killed that day by Osama bin Laden's horrific plan, and it does not end the threat posed by terrorists, but it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end of Sharia-compliant terrorism."

Also uninterested in crediting the president, Rick Santorum is still concerned about "Jihadism" - which like his namesake substance - can also be found on soiled Vegas bedsheets:

Man On Dog Sexpert wrote:
"This is extraordinary news for all freedom loving people of the world, and I commend all those involved for this historic triumph. Americans have waited nearly 10 years for the news of Osama bin Laden's death. And while this is a very significant objective that cannot be minimized, the threat from Jihadism does not die with bin Laden."

Perhaps one wants to be a little more understanding and look at the big picture.

A large number of people died because 2 Airplanes flying into the Twin Towers.

One Airplane of the 4 Crashed into the Pentagon.

The 4th Airplane was stopped by the passengers onboard from killing other people yet all onboard perished.

Over 3000 people died that day. Children, elderly, wives, husbands, brothers, sisters aunts and uncles, friends.

I am sure you are beginning to get the picture.

Their friends and relatives may not be as sophisticated and enlightened as you are... hatred happens, it is perfection that is rare ...

In for a penny in for a pound perhaps.... ?

Or for ignoring the 08/06/2001 PDB and dismissing the messenger with "Now you've covered your ass.";

or for ignoring the bipartisan terrorism report, two years in the making, that was put on his desk in the Spring of 2001, and that specifically mentioned flying commercial airliners into buildings;

or for ignoring Counter-terrorism Chief, Richard Clarke, who told him immediately before and after Bush's inauguration that Al-Quaeda was the number one threat, and who was astounded when Bush insisted on Iraq immediately after taking office.

Yeah, I can blame him.

Yeah, or you can blame Clinton for shooting at Obama and .. missing. Or GH Bush for not going the extra yard and taking out Saddam when he had the chance. Or Ronnie for training the Taliban to off the Rooskies. Hell. You can blame the damn Brits for giving India away, and causing Partition, and a near 30 year off and on war which saw the US and the USSR use Pakistan and India respectively as proxies. You want to keep going ? Blame the damn Coptic Christians for not offing that desert bandit, Muhammad, when they had the chance ?

The chain of mistakes stretches back through time. President Obama was on the hot seat when that particular blood debt got called in. He responded just fine. And his words to America and to the world were just.. perfect.
