"I don't care" was closest to my sentiments.
Why are we elevating this man's importance so?
If he was watching this somewhere I think he'd be patting himself extra hard on the back (I'm sure he already considered himself an unmitigated success beyond his own wildest expectations for continuing to lead for ten years after painting a target on his forehead.)

I want an interview with one of the Seals (him in silhouette, and voice disguised - all for his protection) to tell the story. Not because I don't believe OBL is dead, but because this administration keeps telling different versions of how it all went down.

No.
Didn't his family and the Saudis confirm it for us ?

He's gonna be around just like Elvis anyway.

I don't really care. Within a few days there will be so many doctored versions of it you never know which one is the real one. The real questions I have are his connections and how and where he lived for the past 10 years. Now on to Zawahiri. Can we send the SEALS ?

I hope they don't release a photo. I think it will only tend to make things worse and won't resolve the questions of those who will want to be skeptical. As noted by Billb, his family is confirming that he was dead.

agree with michaelb, it will only become an icon to some. better to leave a hint of mystery to the whole thing. this doesn't solve the bigger problem of fanaticism anyhow.

Because that will prove it happened, right? Perhaps you can find such an interview on Saturday Night Live this week. I imagine the SNL producers will be able to provide the sailor's birth certificate(in silhouette, and disguised) for you too.

There's too damn much Death Porn around in the world today. DO NOT WANT.

I'm hesitant to 'trust my government', but in this case I'll say "Yeah !".

So, this president finally does something RIGHT, and swampy has to complain about the administration's public dissemination of a TOP SECRET operation.

Jesus Christ.
