Why is this Cloud storage thingy so important?
#1
Maybe I'm not thinking 4th dimensionally but why is this such a big deal. I have the 64Gb iPad and 32 Gb
iPhone and I don't really see the need to store stuff on servers that might get hacked. I'm only using a bit
over half the storage on both devices and I have a lot stuff on there.

...because the Leader says so, that's why! :damnyou:

In reality I'd be happier if the software was available for making my own cloud inside my own house rather than in Apple's house.

Yeah, It's awful how they keep slamming us with these free services so's they can pad their bottom line.

I'm with you. Meh is all I can say to cloud storage for music.

Some of the other free syncing that iCloud seems to offer could be useful if I hadn't already set them up with Google when Apple was charging for the same. Local sync to iTunes via wifi will be a welcome addition, but really plugging in is/was not that onerous.

As someone who listens to music every day for hours, I welcome this. It's going to be fantastic.

Going to make my photo sharing much easier, too.

I do feel bad for those that don't have the need nor desire to upgrade their machines with an older OS and can't make use of it (if they would like to).

It seems that Apple is making an elegant package of various tools that already exist. Isn't that what they often do? The hope is that the package has synergy, e.g., is greater than the sum of its parts.
