Oh My GOD. Best "Baby go to Sleep Book" EVER
#1
Ok, I'll confess. I just looked at the torrent of this.
Oh My GOD. MUST BUY. MUST give to the parents of my first grandchild.

Pretty great story.
It's making the rounds of official purchases because the illicit copies are circulating.
Proving the point that pirating is not always to the detriment of an author.

I didn't find it amusing at all. In fact, it reminded me of the parents I see around the city swearing left and right in front of their children. "Get the F off that! Put that the F down." Always makes me sad to hear parents talk like that to their kids. I know this is only a joke book, but that's what it made me think of.

I've got a 3 year old who's going through sleep stuff right now, and this book was a total crackup--=really helped me laugh when I was feeling truly frustrated.

Agreed, but having gone through the extreme sleep deprivation and temporary insanity that comes from a child who just does not understand nights and days... well, it qualifies as a guilty pleasure.

I'm horrified for the children and the world we're going to end up with...

And amusingly pleased for myself to know that it's OK to be frustrated when your kids won't sleep.

I won't be ordering, but if someone gave me a URL to review a copy of it I would look at it.

The entire book was being shared around on Facebook a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty funny.

You can't help what other parents do to their children, short of illegal activities, so you just have to bear it/ignore it/whatever you choose.

That just means that when you bring yours up your right, they will be able to out-compete the other children who have been miseducated/ignored/uncared for by their parents. A career in psychiatry might deliver stable employment in the future.

The book puts parents in the laughable position of being victims of their own children, instead of being the adults who are responsible for the bedtime behaviors of their children.

I don't like that. Parents need to realize they are in charge, they are to blame, and they are responsible for making things better.

Cussing at kids is just victim chic. Grow up. Raise your kids right.
