Owen Whetzel, president of the Sunnyvale school board, left, takes a close look at an Apple Computer in July 1983 with Steve Wozniak, co-founder, center, and Steve Jobs, Chairman of the board of Apple Computer, Inc., at right. Apple announced the start of the first shipment of 9,000 computers to virtually every school in the state of California in a massive giveaway aimed at promoting "computer literacy" in the primary and secondary schools. The first and millionth produced were given to the Sunnyvale School District.

Wow. Sure isn't 1983 anymore.

In 1983 I nearly drowned in 26x32 pants.

I don't now.

Amazing how much has changed with the iPod/iOS devices (even since 2005).

But the 2001 iBook represents today's laptop line in basic form factor (except the latest versions are thinner and lighter).

From that article...I can't decide which link to click.

The offer on the top seems to good to be true. Think I'll go with the one on the bottom.

That is not food that is good for his liver me thinks. What we see sadly is a process of slow wasting...
physically. I wish him the best and more during this time of his life. I am grateful every day for what he has taught me, how he has made my computer experience and digital life better.

I find it difficult to express my respect and admiration for the influence he has made on my life and this earth.
