Anyone else got this damned lingering cold/throat thing?
#1
I was at a party tonight and encountered others with this exact same PITA, who apparently came down with it the exact day I did (started noticing a week ago Thursday night.)
Starts with tiredness, icky throat, low-grade headache (intermittent), a little digestive funkiness and some achiness. Trying to sleep it off seems to make no difference. Throat just stays a little swollen with no change interminably . . . worst time is laying down/trying to sleep-- you feel like yout throat is going to close, even though it's only a little swollen; you want to cough but it's completely unsatisfying. You're not overtly sick enough for anyone to notice but feel rundown and then demoralized every additional day it doesn't get any better . . .
Sound off.

This gives new meaning to the term, "infected by a virus, online."

Since you mentioned it, Black, I now have the symptoms and I could have only caught it from your post.

Not even my Intego Virus Barrier could stop it.

Thanks a lot, Black… :cursin:

I got it a week ago Saturday morning, and it felt like it was never going to go away. I slept for three days. Then for the next three days my throat hurt. Still a trace of it.

Started with a sore throat. The feeling that it is going to last forever must be one of the symptoms.

My daughter started with it on Tuesday, almost two weeks ago. Took her a week to really get over it. I started feeling ill this past Monday. It wasn't until Fri that I felt better. My daughter had it worse, runny nose, stuffy head, sore throat. For me it was just feeling really crummy with just occasional throat issues.

Had it in NY/Spain a month ago. I'm not sure I'm all the way back yet.

Well, it's good to hear you do eventually get over it (?)

The first 3-4 days I didn't encounter anyone else who was sick-- I was thinking it might be a case of immaculate infection.

The tiredness, head ache, and nausea started last Monday. Sleep and Ibuf helped somewhat. Barely got over it Friday. Something is in the air.
