I don't want to be condescending, but what the heck is it with rice cookers anyway? Rice is, like the easiest thing in the world to cook. Unless you're feeding a huge crowd, why would you need this?
Sorry. I know Zojirushi is an excellent company, but I just don't understand the need. Kate

We eat rice like a lot of people eat potatoes. Our rice cooker is very convenient, doesn't occupy a burner on the stove.

I finally broke down and bought a rice cooker awhile back. One of the best decisions I ever made. No watching the rice, I know exactly when it is going to be done, very easy to clean and no burnt pans. It is the way to go.

you must be particularly skilled at cooking rice. i know a number of foodies who are also accomplished cooks and they prefer using the rice cooker.
i have a larger model i got for $20 on CL. i love it! |
