craigslist rant
#1
I've been looking to buy a pickup truck via the local CL. Other than make/model, I'd imagine the most important pieces of data for a used car would be year and mileage. Why do so many people neglect to put that info in the ad? I'm not even going to bother to call you if you're too damn lazy to tell me basic information.

Because the weeds are too high to git into the dang thing, and the doors is rusted shut !

But it's a runner !

are you going to call if it has more than 30K on it ?
They want a chance for a hook. :-)

Send them all emails asking "Is item available still?"

Follow up by asking if they will ship to Belarus. Be sure to explain that you will compensate them well for their trouble.

Do you really want to know the mileage on this one?

I've called on trucks with up to almost 200,00 miles on them. F150's are like the old HP LaserJets (or the energizer bunny).... they keep going and going. I actually don't want one with only 30K miles on it. It would be out of the price range I'm willing to spend.

Not only that, but if the thing is in good shape with 200k + miles, most things that need replacing have prolly been replaced. That's my car-buying philosophy, anyway. Plus, I'm cheap and hate throwing money at cars.

they don't want to limit themselves to just frugal shoppers , either ?

most of the ads in the classifieds in the local rag don't have mileage, either.

I think !00K is the point where things need to be fixed or need "scheduled maintenence". Check to see what's been happening to the car.
