In case you didn't get one…
#1
After going through hoops which included working with a sweet young lady at Verizon's customer service, who searched and searched in every way possible (she even got me a price of $4.02 shipped, but the system just wouldn't accept the order. Supposedly it was out of stock. (you've heard that one before, haven't you?) I finally gave up getting a Griffin Folio case to use with my HP Touchpad,.

That was until several members reported that they were able to order some from Verizon http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1...sg-1217416

I just figured that I'd give it another try and after a convoluted search, I finally reached the point where I was able to place the order! $4.97plus tax with free 2 day shipping.

So if you still want one of these Folio cases that are designed for the original iPad, but are supposed to fit the Touchpad, RYF to Verizon.

Follow this link and scroll half way down: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?&action=refineByPhone&phoneId=5556

It's a snap after that.

Supplementing Gene's instructions,

I had to set my location with a zip code, and then click "View All" on the right, to see All accessories, before I scrolled halfway down to find this particular case.

Let me say again, Verizon has the worst website for ordering an accessory for your phone. There, just wanted to get that off my chest, again. Big Grin

to expand on rgG's comment...

Verizon's websites for its customers sucks. For such a huge telcom and ISP, it's criminal they have this sh!t...

You are using an unsupported browser that verizon.com does not support. For a better experience, please use a supported browser.

Yep, they only support Safari 5 on Macs. No FF or Chrome!

This is 2011, right??

I noticed that there a couple of iPad 1 specific items discounted at my local Verizon Wireless corporate store in a rack off in the corner. There was a zagg screen kit and a silicon shield outer shell. Both were around 2/3rds off ($10 price). Might be worth stopping in to your local store.

Wish I'd known you were looking, Gene. I have a spare of the exact case you mentioned - would have gladly sent it to you.
