Bazookaman's thread about news names below reminded me I wanted to post my team's submission to this year's Des Moines edition of the 48 Hour Film Project. We drew mocumentary, and here's what we came up with:

We were all pretty proud of it. We won audience choice in our screening group, made the best of city screening, and won the award for best writing. Not bad for a bunch of guys with fringe skills at best: music teacher, journalist, high end AV installer, ad sales/management, and a county clerk. We were up against teams including many people who do video production work for a living. We know we're lacking in production value, but maintain it all comes down to story in the end.
