Their software does not permit macs to connect to their wifi. If I had parallels run winxp, would I be able to connect (and use my mac browser)? Has anyone done this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Same as Fritz
We have Frontier (formerly Verizon) fiOS and have no problems connecting macs to wifi in our house.

I think the question is about WiFi hotspots, to which FiOS users are entitled, but have to use Windows software.

My sister has FIOS at her house. I've connecter there to her Verizon WiFi router with both my MBP & iPhone4. Blazing transfer rates.

Re: WiFi Connect Utility for Mac?
Options 03-23-2011 09:22 AM Unfortunately DFWSky, we do not have an eta on when the Wifi Connect will be available for Apple products. Once a date is made official we can post it. Thank you Peter_VZ Verizon Support Guess it's not official yet.

As a long time mac user, this kind of stuff really sticks in my craw. Is it really THAT hard to write a driver for this? What kind of overwrought proprietary system did they purchase that they cannot accommodate 10% of the laptops and 28% of the Mobile OS market?
Hardly matters though, since there are only about a dozen Verizon hotspots worldwide anyway (or so it seems.) /curmudgeon
