I bought an 11" Macbook Air (4g RAM, 128gb SSD) early this year. Put everything I needed on it and still had about 75gb left. After about two months of using it I I found it difficult to see what was on the screen . I kept holding it up, closer to my face. Not the ideal position for a "laptop". Sold it in June for almost what I paid for it and got a great deal on an openbox 2011 13" MBP at Microcenter - out the door for $810. Bumped it up to 8gb and stuck in a Momentus XT. Great laptop, very fast and easier on the eyes, but heavy. Then, in July/August I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Found myself at Bestbuy looking at the new 11" Macbook Airs and lo and behold, I can see the screen fine! It was the cataracts. Damn! A lot of buying and selling for nothing. End of back-story
This week I was in my local Bestbuy and they happened to have an open box 11" 128gb Macbook Air. The Sirens called and like Odysseus' men, I couldn't resist. With the 10% off their sale price and a $10 gift card it was out the door for $1062. WooHoo! A sweet machine for a sweet price but another bump-up to the old credit card.
The predicament/question: I have one laptop too many! Which do I keep? I plan to take the MBA on a vacation trip this week and see how it works out, but what does the
collective MR mind have to say - and I hope it isn't "keep them both".
