Very cool that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones) and
Margo Martindale (Mags Bennett on Justified) both just won Emmys.
Two of the best performances on TV this year.

Friday Night Lights - Kyle Chandler for best actor in a drama and it also took home best writing for a drama series. The show should have won a couple others, in my opinion, this year and definitely at least a few in previous years.

I have nothing to really base the experience on, since I grew up in the city and high school was 30 years ago -- but I thought it was a great show as well.
Really enjoyed the last season. worth a
netflix qwikster rental if you have one.

Wow, somehow, I missed the fact that the Emmys was (were?) on last night. I don't always watch them, but at least I would know they were on.

Agreed.
But Martindale's win does surprise me. It's not that often, or at least I've never noticed, that a Bad Guy gets an Emmy. I've only seen here in character roles on TV and don't recall seeing her in any movies. But the depth and detail she brought to Mags was absolutely amazing.
I think rg mentioned her accent was good. She spent four years acting in Kentucky.
Did Goggins get a nomination? His character was equally amazing.
Love the show and the second season was great, one of the finest shows I've seen.
I may d/l the Emmys just to see her acceptance speech.

Which goes to show just how amazing she was last season. As great an ending to the season as that was, I am extremely sorry to see her go.

He did. Also very well-deserved; I was sorry he did not also win.
