Does this really work? I imagine you are invoking some sort of price guarantee, or otherwise they would just take it out of stock for a couple of days after you return it.

Hmm, that TV costs less than the replacement lamp for my 42 inch Sony 3LCD HDTV. The Sony TV cost me $1699

I replaced mine with a rebuilt lamp assembly I bought on eBay for $129 about 2 years ago. The lamp by
itself is much cheaper. Our 50" 3LCD cost $2200. Our 55" Vizio 240Hz LED-LCD cost $1500 but I still
don't regret it. I thought the Sony looked good until we got the Vizio.
