Maybe I am just stupid but...

...iMovie, iDVD, What happened top these programs? I haven't opened up either in years and now the '11 version of these apps is completely foreign to me. It used to be I could intuitively figure things out but now I have no idea what am doing.

I have no idea how to set chapters in exact spots. I recall doing this back in the day or am I imagining things. iMovie, wtf happened to it? I figured out FCX and Premiere Pro each in a few hours but I still don't see how to use iMovie.

Yep, apple owned that market segment and now appears to be giving it away. Even their pro movie app is falling out of favor. My church was going to setup a movie editing station for making short clips and I had a hard time recommending it.

I moved and misplaced a lot of old disks :-(

I haven't had a request to burn a disk in ages but I am now committed, ugh.

iMovie 6.0.3 appears to be a free d/l at Apple.

This is probably the version you remember.

Probably not, that is just the update from iMovie 6.0.2 -> 6.0.3.
