I know you said "no animation" but I just watched an excellent - and haunting - true story set to animation. Waltz with Bashir will haunt you for a while.

"A Separation" is supposed to be great. It's on my list. A "must-go" from both fans and critics on Fandango...rare bird, that.

My first thought was "Hugo," too.

Great movie!

Not sure if it's in theaters any more, if that's what you're looking for.

"Stolen" with Jon Hamm, just saw a few days ago, it's pretty good. It's on DVD.

Recent likes from my Netflix queue:

1. Contagion
2. Rise of the Planet of the Apes (though the end got a bit out of hand for me)
3. The Help
4. The Last Train Home (great documentary with interesting character development about a family of Chinese factory workers)
5. Win Win (Paul Giammati was great)

Recent dislikes or likes with serious reservations from my Netflix queue:

1. 50/50
2. The Fall
3. The Tree of Life (one reviewer described it as like watching a tree grow -- ha)

Enjoy your movie night!
