I went out to do errands and when I got back the USPS had left a "sorry we missed you" note for a "must sign for" express mail package w/ a sender's name listed as China... I really don't think we are waiting for any other packages except for the iPad, excuse me, the new iPad. I have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up at the P.O. though I might try to go there late this afternoon and see if it is available. The tracking # that Apple sent me still shows it in Louisville, KY...hmmmm...

Is Apple really using USPS for delivery? Since you have a tracking number, what does it show and who is the delivery company? I suspect that it's FedEx or UPS.

Yes, the tracking says UPS, but this would not be the first time that USPS handled the "last mile" of a delivery for UPS. I just checked w/ hubby and he says he's not expecting anything. Our P.O is open until 7pm tonight, so I'm going to wait until after 5pm to make sure our local delivery person has finished her rounds.

FedEx, not USPS Overnight Delivery.

Look on the notice to see what day and time (if any) is shown to be available for pickup.
Usually, it won't be back at the PO until the carrier returns, so you should go later in the day. I've had to wait a half hour for the carrier to return to get a package.
Someone will say "He/she should be back in about..."
Good luck with that.
Oh, and... it's not your iPad.
(and I *still* haven't got my cheapie USB cables from China!)

it's a subpoena- you've been served.
