iPad'ers who've use the 3G...?

How did you activate the 3G?

Here's my scenario- I'm out and about, or I'm sheltered in place, and I need to get 3G going...

Can I contact at&t from the iPad to tell them to let me "talk" to the rest of the world? You know, like hotel modems that you connect to to pay for Internet access, and then you're waved through?

It would be convenient to buy a months access right from the 'Pad.

I was riding in the back seat of one of our vehicles and an just activated on the go, it's that easy.
I have since let it lapse since getting an iPhone.

And they'll send you a nice notice letting you know that you have just about used up all your data allotment for the month and will recommend another "hit" at the AT&T t**t for a modest charge.
